For three hours under the blazing sun, they led the stage with remarkable energy, grace, and composure, ensuring every segment of the event flowed smoothly and professionally.

As we reflect on the success of the Asian Pacific Festival 2026, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the outstanding team behind our stage programme.

Thank you so much for your time and energy in preparing for all the coordination work ahead of the event.
Your organisation, calm leadership, and attention to every detail ensured the entire programme ran smoothly from start to finish. Coordinating multiple performances, managing timing, and supporting performers is no small task, and you carried it out with such professionalism, grace, and dedication.
Thank you for holding everything together so seamlessly.

Your expertise and precision made a tremendous difference to the quality of the performances. We sincerely appreciate that you took extra time to visit the venue in advance to assess and confirm all technical details, as well as carefully organise and sequence all performance music beforehand. On the day, when unexpected power issues arose, you handled the situation calmly and promptly — your professionalism and responsibility gave us great confidence in the success of the event. Your work not only elevated the entire stage experience, but also demonstrated that you are truly among the very best in event sound teams.

💐Ngā mihi nui to our amazing Kapa Haka performers! 💐

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful kapa haka group from Rutherford Intermediate School for helping welcome our community to the Asian Pacific Festival.

Your powerful haka, beautiful waiata, and proud spirit set a truly special tone for the day. It was inspiring to see such talented young performers sharing the strength and beauty of Māori culture with our community. Your performance honoured the spirit of mana whenua and gave the festival a truly meaningful beginning.

Thank you so much to the students, teachers,supporters and principal Matua Hayden Hepburn who made this performance possible. You brought great mana and energy to the festival.

Behind the beautiful photos and videos we are now enjoying, there is a group of people working quietly and tirelessly.

To capture the best moments, they stood under the blazing sun, sometimes climbing ladders, sometimes lying on the ground, carefully finding the perfect angle. At the same time, they had to be mindful of the crowd and ensure they did not block the audience’s view of the performances. ✨ With Heartfelt Thanks to Our Amazing Vendors Part 2 ✨
As we reflect on the very first Asian Pacific Festival, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every vendor who joined us and helped bring this special day to life.
Your incredible food, crafts, and cultural offerings created what many visitors called “the best Asian food walk Whanganui has ever seen.” The community was truly amazed, and many people have already asked us when the next one will be!
We would like to express our deep and sincere appreciation for your support of our first-ever APF. As a brand new festival organised for the first time, we know there were things we could have done better. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation whenever something did not meet expectations. Your kindness and encouragement throughout the entire process meant more than we can express.
On a personal note, as the coordinator, I truly appreciate the journey of working, learning, and growing together with all of you. Your humble, sincere, and supportive communication made the organising process a meaningful experience for us.
We are also deeply grateful to those who travelled long distances -from places such as Auckland and Tauranga - to be part of this festival. It meant so much to us that vendors from across Aotearoa came together to help create a memorable day for the Whanganui community.
Thank you for being part of this beginning.
