When we began organising this, we thought we’d get about 50 people – mainly our friends we were roping into supporting our wacky dream to bring it back to the capital! How wrong we were!

We’re blown away by everyone who came together to Wuther for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever this afternoon at Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui! 💃💃💃

You all brought so much joy, your smiles, laughter and moves to make it an amazing afternoon!

It was so amazing to see you all in sea of red having such a great time!!

Appreciation post to remember that we’re a community! 💃💃💃💃

We are so grateful to the support we’ve received to ensure tomorrow’s event goes ahead from Wellington City Council Creative New Zealand Creative Community Fund 👏👏👏

Gather your red dress (or whatever you're comfortable in), your dancing shoes, and your friends!

We will run through of the dance together at 2pm, then we have some great giveaways from local businesses, and then we do our main performance! 💃

📚 Plot twist… we’ve moved! ❤️

The Pōneke moors have officially relocated to Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui (Wellington Central Library)!

Same glorious dancing. Same sea of red. Just an even warmer and less wet location right in the heart of our city!

Help us get the word out!!

We’ve made the decision to ensure that we keep all attendees safe and warm with the southerly front forecasted to pass over in the next few days. This also means that the lawn at the Soundshell will be wet and we don’t want to risk any dancers slipping while they are in full Wuther!

Join us this Sunday from 2–3pm. We can’t wait to Wuther with you Wellington!

Also they have a great cafe and amazing spaces to check out if you haven’t already since they reopened in March!

At workshops,and at our main event this Sunday, (weather-related location news coming very soon!) we’ve chosen to support wellingtonwomenshouse.

This amazing charity offers transitional accommodation for Wellington women in need.

Thank you to all who have donated toiletries at our workshops, you’ve been so generous! If you’re coming along on Sunday and can donate some toiletries, fresh towels, or maybe even a movie voucher, that would be awesome!
