I’ve been keeping busy…come with me through this photo dump from my camera roll.
From spending days in the studio, to going out and exploring Wellington as it ushers in fall. I’ve started gardening this year and am proud to say I have two (2!) pumpkins as well as a smattering of tomatoes and strawberries to show for it.
At the beginning of the month I found out that I was the winner of the runner-up Judges award for PARK(ing) Day which was such a nice surprise and a wonderful reward for all the hard work I put into it. I’ve also been oil painting for my art postcard club on Patreon and spending lots of time with my little family.
I’m cooking up some projects with friends as well as working towards enough pieces to put on a solo show, so follow along to watch those progress.

The PARK(ing) Day space was a huge success! Such a lovely day for it, and so many amazing people came through. I loved the enthusiasm for the idea and that so many people were keen to give it a go.

I have wanted to try this out for over a year now and after doing some testing I finally submitted my proposal late last year. We had some ups and downs the day of—the plate got too hot and ink was drying up fast, we ran through our secondhand shirts after a couple hours, and there was so much interest that part of it was a blur!

Many thanks to everyone who stopped by, showed their support, and cheered us on.

The backstory of my piece “Solitude” • this oil painting on panel was made back in 2017, during a masterclass held at Massey University from . I dug up old photos from my hard drive; so cool to go back through the process stages. Tara has such a smooth finish to her paintings and a really unique palette, so it was awesome to hear her break that down. I really wish there were more opportunities like this in Aotearoa, it was such a great experience.

Morning Pages Zine ✂️ a project from 2019 where I pulled quotes from my morning pages (IYKYK) and created collage to go with it. A creative exercise turned zine that I sold at a few zine fairs pre-pandemic.
