Production Designer - Heart Eyes - One Of Us Is Lying S2
Art Director - Avatar 1, 2 & 3, Pacific Rim2, The Meg, Ash Vs Evil Dead, 30 Days Of Night and more.
For Film, TV & Commercials. Experience working in Asia and NZ with the ability to work worldwide I was fortunate enough to stumble across the film world 20 odd years ago. Since then, I have been involved with many amazing film projects that have shot here in New Zealand and around the world. Films like James Cameron’s Avatar 1, 2 and 3, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, Legendary Entertainment’s Pacific
Rim Uprising and Warner Brother’s shark blockbuster The Meg. I started my career on-set, which gave me valuable insights into the sharp end of film making. This experience continues to hold me in good stead and was enhanced as I progressed thorough the ranks of the Prop and Art Departments. I have gained a wealth of experience from working on a huge variety of projects of varying scales. US syndicated TV shows, Netflix productions, Local NZ Film productions, all the way to International Projects that include some of the Biggest Blockbusters ever made. The varied scales of these projects has given me a unique and diverse knowledge of film making and has embodied within me, a strong work ethic and the can do attitude that the NZ film maker is gaining world wide attention for. I am able to take these skills, adjust and craft them to suit the style and flow that each film demands and when needed, I am able to bring something different and innovative to the table. I enjoy helping to realise a Director’s and Production Designer’s vision by project managing a set build, as much as I enjoy innovating at the cutting edge of film “Screen Graphics” by bringing in-camera Motion Graphics to life on set. I have experience working on and around water including “Tank Work”, and boats. I am as happy working with Period Pieces, as I am with Fantasy, Science Fiction and Contemporary settings. From Swords and Sandals, to Hi-Tech cutting edge set finishes and everything in between. Daily Dead, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
While slashers never vanished, seeing a title like Heart Eyes nudge the subgenre toward revived popularity warms my soul. Josh Ruben's Valentine's Day massacre stands proudly alongside its holiday horror brethren, but it's not a straightforward hack-’em-up like My Bloody Valentine (original and re...

Third Avatar film Art Directing for me. Looking forward to the release!!!

After working on the original Avatar early on in my Art Directing career, going back for 2 & 3 as a more experienced Art Director was such a full circle moment.

Working on The Meg was an incredible experience and a fantastic project for an Art Department.
One of my key Art Directing roles was leading the impressive Screen Graphics team, creating live, in-camera, and interactive motion graphics and outputting them for the countless monitors on set.
As far as I know, The Meg was one of the first films to fully integrate this As much in camera and interactive approach. We designed detailed, multi-layered, touch-enabled GUIs that were networked and coded for real-time interaction.
Collaborating closely with the talented SFX team, we integrated our systems so the cast could actually pilot the subs and gliders on the motion base themselves—adding an unparalleled level of realism to the film!"
