Opera Company; Tawata Productions; Taki Rua Productions; Pacific Underground, The Auckland Theatre Company and The Fortune Theatre. Productions include - RENT, Foxtrot and Flagons, Women Far Walking; Purapurawhetu; La Traviata, Dawn Raids (2022, 1997); True; Harurumai; Flowers from my Mothers Garden; Home Fires; The Slapdash Assassin; August: Osage County; Hui; Postal; When the Rain Stops Falling; Constellations; Waiora; and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Mark has represented New Zealand at the Prague Quadrennial of Scenography. Mark is a lecturer in design at the Ara Institute of Canterbury. Tony De Goldi has been a designer and maker of sets, props and costumes and has exhibited internationally since 1995, including for theatre, opera, film, exhibition and art-based installations. Tony also taught Spatial Design, Industrial design & Critical Studies at Weltec, Massey University & Victoria University. Productions include La Traviata, Dawn Raids (2022), fire in the water, fire in the sky; Fresh Off the Boat; Stories Studio Live, Switzerland; Modern Girls in Bed, The Vultures, The Night Mechanics, Kava Club Art Collective, Young and Hungry, Riverside Kings, The Undertow, The Biggest, Hinepau, 1918, Fale Sā, 1000 Ropes, Noyes Fludde, Il Corsaro, Hohepa, Sunset Road, Te Kaupoi, Te Karakia, The Blackening, Elixer of Love, And What Remains, Cloud 9, Awhi Tapu and Troilus and Cressida. In 2015, 2008, and 2004: Tony represented New Zealand Theatre Designers at the prestigious Prague Quadrennial. Tony is a freelancer and works for Capital E, Hopper House and various theatre productions. Mark and Tony continue to work alongside exceptional emerging to experienced production crews; writers, directors, actors, dancers, musicians and visual artists across the country as designers, consultants, advisors, mentors and supporters.
2023: both working on various productions together, Lucia di Lammermoor, Appropriate, The World's First Lovers, O le Pepelo, Le Gaoi Ma Le Pala’ai – The Liar, the Thief and the Coward - Kia Mau Festival 2023. Mark is Academic Director at NASDA and Tony is Senior Tutor, Design and Construction at Toi Whakaari NZ School Drama.
