The Odysseus Brotherhood is happy to advise that at the Special General Meeting last night the Membership approved the new Constitution of the Odysseus Brotherhood Inc as mandated under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

The Executive wants to publically achkowledge the Constitution Committee for their many hours of work and deliberation in getting this over the line to put to the membership.

Reminder that the SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING is coming up this Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. Details as below.

In accordance with Clause 14 of the Odysseus Brotherhood Inc Constitution, a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held for the sole and only purpose of considering and adopting the new Constitution of the Odysseus Brotherhood Inc.

Purpose of Meeting: Adoption of the new Constitution is required to complete the re registration of the Society under the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022 as required for all Incorporated Societies.

Thank you to those that have paid their Membership Subscription already. Those wanting to pay cash on Tuesday, please come early from 6pm so we can process your payment before the meeting starts at 6:30pm sharp.

Next Step: Following the adoption of the new Constitution, the Society will confirm the date of the Annual General Meeting and the Election of Officers (Committee).

Odysseus Brotherhood Inc

A Special General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 6:30pm at the Odysseus Brotherhood Hall, 146 Hobart Street, Miramar.

The meeting’s sole and only purpose is to consider and adopt the new Constitution, required for re-registration for all Incorporated Societies under the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

The Constitution Committee will be present to explain the changes and answer questions.

📄 A copy of the proposed Constitution can be provided to members prior to the meeting by requesting a copy by email to [email protected]

💳 Reminder: The $10 subscription for 2026 must be paid by 31 March for voting eligibility. For bank account details, please request bank account details by email to [email protected]

Further details about the AGM and Committee elections will follow once the new Constitution is adopted.

Loss of a Giant - Odysseus Christmas Dance Cancelled

It is with deep sorrow that the Odysseus Brotherhood acknowledges the passing of one of its esteemed founding members, Mr. John Callinicos.

As a devoted Original Patriarch of the Brotherhood, Mr. Callinicos dedicated countless years to nurturing its growth and championing its mission—not only for its members, but for the wider Wellington Greek community. His tireless efforts and unwavering commitment have left a lasting legacy.

The Executive Committee extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. His presence, leadership, and generosity will be profoundly missed.

May he rest in peace.
