"I’m deep into the texturing phase—hand-stamping 34 individual branches is meticulous, finicky work. The stamps are made from real bark moulds and are essential to the realism of the sculpture.

This texture also doubles as a high-performance protective layer. Once cured, it seals the foam and steel, making the piece resilient enough for any environment. It’s the final layer of armor before the painting process brings it to life."

"When the lights go down, the magic comes out. ✨
A throwback to lighting tests on a previously completed project. Coming from a film background, I’ve learned that lighting is often the difference between a prop and a piece of reality—it’s all about creating the right on-set atmosphere.
Integrating lighting into my sculptures helps build a scene that brings the hyper-realistic texture to life in any environment. This tree is fully portable and powered by a 12v battery; imagine a starlight picnic with the gentle glow of your own private forest as the light source.

Currently in the workshop carving out the trunk roots. This is easily one of the most rewarding phases of the build—watching raw materials take on the organic shape and weight of genuine nature (with the texture coming next!).

It was a massive day in the workshop finishing up the branch shaping and getting the tree back together. After weeks of working with foam and knife, seeing the full scale of this sculpture stand up is a huge milestone.

Every branch is hand-shaped to mimic the natural flow of a tree searching for sunlight.
