Have a presence at Underground 2027

We have opened up applications for sponsors, exhibitors and stallholders for our first ever North Island location.

If you’re on a mission to accelerate the shift toward a food and farming future that aligns with nature, then you need to be here.

Underground draws a passionate, knowledgeable, and growing crowd of people who care about improving the health of soil, land, animals and people.

In previous years, up to 80% of attendees have been actively farming, across dairy, sheep and beef, horticulture, viticulture, and market gardening, at scales both large and small.

This is not a casual festival crowd. These are people investing time, money, and energy into
improving how they farm or grow kai.

They’re looking for solutions, products, services, and relationships that genuinely align with their values.

Businesses and organisations that get involved in Underground are an important part of our community and hold tonnes of expertise. We want to help share that and create engaging experiences for everyone.

Spots are limited as we have a high rate of returning exhibitors. Request an info pack, and let’s chat!

DM or email us for a pack. 🐝

The countdown is on!

A limited number of early bird tickets for two day passes are now available.

The super early bird gets the worm AND $50 off.

A couple of things to note before you tuck in:

🎟️ 1 & 2 day ticket prices haven’t increased but booking fees are now a thing as we’ve moved to an official ticketing platform. You’ll see fees added at checkout. We tried to avoid this as long as we could!

🪱 Camping tickets are per person this year, not per campsite. Make sure every worm in your crew grabs their own (youths camp for free)

🛖 Fancy glamping is back! Our friends Nomadic New Zealand are returning with pre-erected bell tents (mattress, pillows and duvet), available for 3 nights. Book direct through their website to secure your cosy little cocoon.

Get in early, save the date, and we’ll see you in March for two days of soil, food, farming & music.

Well, the Soil Health Detective session was hit with you all!

We’ve been reading through our feedback and well, there’s no surprises really that you all loved getting dirty 😉

Conan and Sam from .ag devised this fun, hands-on session putting our observation skills to test, looking for legume nodules, rhizosheaths, worms and pests and trying out a range of tests to better understand what’s going on in our soils.

We had sown a strip of multi-species pasture seed mix from and decided to dig a soil pit through the strip in order to look at the root structures etc.

We’ll definitely keep this session on the books, but we might have to make it a bit longer next year!

Underground 2026 - what a celebration!

Two days. Nearly 450 people. One incredible community.

So much aroha for our hosts Greystone Wines & Restaurant, The Food Farm and the North Canterbury community who welcomed us back with open arms to their place.

And to Te Taumata Tapu o Ngāi Tūāhuriri, thank you for your blessing of this event once again.

To all our speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, food traders, our team, and locals who supplied rides, food, lodging - you all showed up and brought the vibe from your pockets of the country and the world.

And to our wonderful sponsors Mangaroa Farms Tow and Fert Pastoral Improvements Quorum Sense Farmer Network Visit Hurunui Biome Trust, thank you 🙏

North Canterbury is where it all began. Grateful doesn't cover it. This film, by our vivacious regen Queen, PEANUTBUTTERVIBES Photography, is for you! 🐝
