As we near the end of a crazy busy year, we just wanted to let everyone know, that sadly this years comp won’t be going ahead. Due to some exciting personal changes for our family (moving cities to be precise) we just haven’t had enough time between moving and settling into a new life here to organise and coordinate everything for the comp!

But rest assured, we will be back in 2020 - bigger and better than ever, with more incredible industry titans as judges, and of course - masterclasses for all ages!

On that note - if anyone knows of any great venues in Wellington central.. let us know in the comments!

Hi Everyone - hope you've had a great long weekend!

Please see the final run order link attached.

You will be able to download this - and it will automatically update with any changes.

If there are any omissions or errors, please let me know. It's been a bit of a doozy of a weekend, with most spent at A&E / hospital with a very unwell family member - so I'm entirely sure I have missed a few things.

A few classes have been switched around for quick changes etc. So please check to see if you've been effected. For the impromptu sections in the modern classes - as we merged the jazz/contemp to one impromptu section per age group, I know that I will have missed some of the dancers that entered before the switch. I have allowed room/time for them in the schedule - but if you could please check and let me know if they are not on the list that would be ever so helpful, so I can add them.

We still have spaces in the inter/snr and adv masterclasses - so PLEASE tell your studio/teacher/fellow dancers - as ANY opportunity to learn from and work with a working dancer/choreographer is one not to be missed! Amanda will be full of wisdom, life and inspiration!
You do not have to be entered into the comp to take part in these!

Morning everyone. Hope you’ve all had a great long weekend! Full run order will be out today!
Please alert us if there are any errors. IMPROMPTU CLASSES... as the jazz and contemporary have been merged there will be some dancers missing as when the form was changed some of this data was lost. I have allowed time to add them into the respective age groups but you will need to message me back or email me, so that I get them added. Thanks everyone!

A little update for everyone! Our Fav KING is so busy living his best life booking top jobs/events - and will sadly for us not be able to join us for this year. BUT we have someone super special in store for you - and are so excited to announce that the incredible and talented Amanda Welch (find and follow her on the gram www.instagram.com/itsamandawelch) will be our Judge and Masterclass teacher for the event!!

Our comp entries are now FULL - BUT we still have space available in the Intermediate, Senior and Advanced Masterclasses - (jnr is full) so please message us, or email [email protected] to secure your space.

Amanda Welch is a technically/classically trained dancer who is now working and living in LA as a dancer/chreographer. She was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where she started her training in dance at the age of 3. Amanda made the move to Los Angeles, at the age of 18, to pursue her career in dance where she has trained & worked under NiCo O'Connor, Kyle Hanagami, Sheryl Murakami, Nika Kljun, and Kennis Marquis, just to name a few.

Amanda has had the opportunity to travel on tour across the U.S. with Todrick Hall, perform in Shanghai for a Honda industrial, dance for our troops overseas in Amman, Jordan with former Pussycat Doll, Jessica Sutta, and was a featured dancer in “Millennials the Musical” created by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Lin Manuel Miranda. Amanda has danced in multiple music videos including Maya Angelou's, "Harlem Hopscotch", Logan Paul’s “Song of the Summer” ft. Desiigner, Z Tao’s “Black & White”, Jeffrey Kung’s “Slide”, and Former Pussycat Doll, Jessica Sutta's, "Feline Resurrection", "Let It Be Love", "Get Lost", and more! Amanda danced with worldwide sensation, Jorge Blanco, to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on ESPN2’s One Nacion special. She also just recently assisted with choreography & danced with Keith Urban in his new music video “Never Comin Down.” Amanda has had the amazing opportunity of assisting choreographer , NiCo O’Connor, for 5 years in classes throughout the U.S. & on set for multiple jobs. Aside from dancing, Amanda has an extreme passion for the art of teaching dance! She recently traveled to Beijing to teach for SPY STUDIO’S Winter Intensive. She combines her technical base, with soulful groove & musicality to create authentic movement that feels good to the body. Amanda enjoys spicing it up and giving a little different flavor with each class she teaches. Amanda says, “it’s all about learning and gaining knowledge on both ends, for me as a teacher & for my students.”

Hi Everyone - what a challenge that has been.

As most of you are aware - we have struggled with entries for the initial dates, and have had to make a decision to either cancel or change the date. So have made the decision to go with the 27th and 28th of October - still at Tauranga Boys College, with one judge, and fewer masterclasses.

Some of the classes have also had to go sadly, but most of them that have, did not have entries in to begin with, or had very low entries.

I appreciate that none of the outcomes would have worked for EVERYONE - (wouldn't that be a perfect world) and do apologise about absolutely any inconvenience that's been caused. But I hope that by pressing on with new dates, a slightly shorter programme - we will STILL have an incredible weekend as one of the last comps of the season.

If you can not make the new dates:
- So sorry once again. Things are certainly not always easy and straight forward. If you could be so kind as to:
REPLY to this email - with the amount you have paid, the date you paid on, and your account details so that we can issue a full refund.
AND if you can find your entry form - and DELETE that for me (you should be able to edit the form once submitted) that would be a massively huge help!

I appreciate that for those who cant make it, or need reimbursing, it's a hassle to find the details - but it's far easier to find the details for your dancer, than it is for me to attempt to find all the required details for everyone effected.

Hi dancers! ✨ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT ✨

Due to there being so much happening over the holidays, we simply don’t have the entries to make the dates viable at this stage:

SO: here’s the proposition

A - cancel this years comp and refund you all 😭

Or (what we feel is a much better option) 💃🏼

B - Move to the 27th and 28th October, same judges, same venue!!! (Can’t get the 26th!)

C - November 9th-11th which I can get!

Please comment below team! Really want to bring you another incredible experience, and would love to make it work for everyone (and also not go broke in the process😂)
