The Adventure Centre and Clip 'n Climb

The Adventure Centre has the largest climbing wall in South Island plus the original Clip 'n Climb arena which mixes theme park and climbing wall.

We cater for all ages and abilities, public hours or groups from schools, community or corporate bookings.

We are opening late this Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September due to the South Island Secondary School climbing event.

Clip 'N Climb will be open, which means Little Monkeys is still on.

All our after school group programmes will be running as usual. 😃

We have stocked up and the drinks and ice creams are ready for you to purchase.

We hope everyone taking part in the event has a great day climbing!

We do outdoor courses too!

"We had a great morning with Will who took us through the Introduction to Outdoor Climbing. A great course on a local crag learning to send it on real rock! Will is a great guide super chill with a good sense of humor and a laid back style. We learnt heaps and look forward to doing more with the adventure centre. Pizza, team and a whole lot of chalk dust. 🍕🧗

Team meeting done right... squeeze the whole crew onto the wall floor, order pizza and somehow still talk shop between slices. Great team, great vibes and a special guest appearance from the sloth. 🦥

Grateful for this crew every day. 🙌

🧗‍♂️ MEET THE TEAM: KRISTAPS 🧗‍♂️

Say kia ora to Kristaps the newest face at The Adventure Centre!

Originally from Latvia, Kristaps has climbing (and wanderlust) in his blood. His adventures have taken him across Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and China, before landing him here in New Zealand.

When he's not at the centre, he's usually got a map out planning the next climbing trip. This December he's off to El Potrero Chico, Mexico, to tackle some of the world's best limestone walls.

Come say hi next time you're in and pick his brain about travel, climbing, or both 🌍🧗
