Remember Summer 2026 😶‍🌫️
For JB it was a blinding reminder how good and right it is to get in person with customers. It is an optimal situ to be able to handle textiles and play with the wear of the JB hat, feel whether you want to run with one.
One customer came through with a hat she bought online, seeking how to for styling - loved that engagement-- I forget that others haven’t had this thing in / on and around their head for the years that I have. A couple of past customers rolled up to buy a second. These instances hum a good long tune in my pocket which keeps this project going.

Thanks for bringing together excellent kai, music, community 🏋️‍♀️

It’s been a PeakGood experience of building this project - that it sparks conversation and connects. I've been told about a car skrrrting and backing up to ask -what the heck- about the hat.
Also, hiking up a mountainside and being stopped by someone coming down to ask what it is - and breathlessly tryna spell out the name (sorry about the name Cat Fawcett-Cornes) 🫠

And these folk, travelling in the 'Mericas, spotted other JB wearers and approached to confirm, same hat:
-Are you from Aotearoa?
-Yeah!

Our fabric selection needs to satisfy / intersect in such a way 🤌 being able to see through to the outside world is one thing.
We use natural , breathable fibres. 100% of the time I feel kinda of creepy, testing breathabilty through the fabric when I’m sourcing 🫣 fabric to face INHALE//EXHALE 🫠 eyes like 👀
I do that 4u! 😁
Slide 1&2 are a good stock cloth we have nested with for a couple of drops- a cotton / linen blend. It works well for the headwear, and there is a good steady supply which is elusive to smoll players like JB~
Slide 3 is a beautiful cotton gauze , so light, so right 👌

It’s true that I love this game:: creating these service beast Pōtae. JB is an entity that landed in me c.2011 and it’s still hanging on my back, jostling with dem monkeys 🫠
This drop is ahh— not a moment too soon, —SORRY BOUT IT 🩵— some ‘ssues / school along the way to supply something properly GOOD. We find new ways.
Even though the cut doesn’t change much— we are deep in the details.
This drop we have brought in peaks made from recycled plastics ♻️
Really and humbly thank you for being alongside as we move 🌊🐌🌱
