For many Pasifika women, leadership comes naturally. We’ve grown up surrounded by strong women, mothers, grandmothers, aunties and sisters holding families, churches, sports clubs, businesses, and communities together. But stepping into leadership spaces isn’t always as straightforward.

Walking into rooms where people already decided what leadership is supposed to look like. Being told a role was too hard and being advised to step aside for a male leader.

Tracy reflects on the realities many Pasifika women still face.

If you ask Tracy’s kids, they’ll tell you she’s only got one camp story and it’s Manusina Samoa.
