Margaret Bray
Held By The Moon
In this piece I bring the outside in.
I make what I see, taking photographs and using these visuals to create from clay. Then, they’re set stone like in the extreme heat of the kiln - the ongoing process mirroring life’s ebbs and flows.
“Placing myself within a piece of outer space, removing the walls and roof that normally obscure the connection to the night sky.
A simple rock, solitary and quiet, watching, comforting, calm and wise.
I see the moon and the moon sees me, blessings to the moon and blessings to me”.
This is the final week to view exhibition, finishing on Sunday 28th June at Arthaus Gallery which is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am - 3pm.
