Kate Horn Artist Creating contemporary art offering moments for calm and contemplation. I am a contemporary artist based on the North Shore in Auckland.

After many years away from the paint brushes while I studied, travelled, and raised our family, I have now come back to it. Art has always fed my soul and I feel grateful to be creating again.

Feel like I always need a palate cleanser after a large work and this little 30x30 was just perfect.

Always great to experiment with new colour palettes too, enjoying the gold glow.

This one was a big piece; it’s taken about 3 months and a lot of my heart and soul! It provided all sorts of challenges...

This one was a big piece; it’s taken about 3 months and a lot of my heart and soul! It provided all sorts of challenges as commissions often do. But it’s great to stretch yourself and learn new things and it’s also very rewarding to bring a clients vision to life. ☺️

With quite a few exhibitions coming up I’m only going to open one more commission spot for this year. This will be Term 4. Get in touch if you’d like it to be yours.
