We were blessed with great weather for the I Love Takapuna Easter Carnival on Saturday the 28th of March 2026.

Once again, the team at I Love Takapuna (Takapuna Businesses) put on a great show for the community.

An Easter Market, Clown/magicians, a story telling mermaid, Elsia with a pirate, acrobatic circus display and of course an easter bunny turned up complete with chocolates and bubbles for the kids.

A great few hours of entertainment.

It was a feast of Latin food, music and dance!

Held on the 28th of February the 2026 Latin Festiva was held this year in the Waiwharariki Anzac Square in Takapuna.

Previous years the Latin Festiva has been held at the beach front, time for a change.

The hours were a bit different also with the event running from 2pm till 10pm, rather than the 11am-7pm format.

The area catered well for the crowds which came to enjoy the Latin vibes, and even the little rain we saw in the evening did not dampen the enthusiasm.

As usual the event hosted by Viva Dance and was supported by the Takapuna Business Association, I Love Takapuna.

Another awesome day at the Northcote Town Centre for the Culture Day festival on the 21st of Feb 2026.

Such a lot happening around the area with great food stalls etc.

And so many performers, cultural musical and dancers on the stage right through the day.

I Love Takapuna “Summer Days Festival”. After being postponed last week because of the weather it was great to get back onto the wonderful Takapuna beach in the fine weather we had on Sunday 1st February.

As all previous SDF’s were held on a Saturday I was wondering what sort of vibe we would have on a Sunday. Wow, we had a huge chill crowd enjoying the beach, playground, games and activities, food vendors and festival performers. Bands were “JELO”, “The People” and one of the top Auckland (and NZ) covers band “Hands Off”.

I am looking forward to the Latin Festival being held in the Waiwharariki Anzac Square Takapuna on the 28th Feb.
Maybe see you there 2-10pm.

Big crowds attended the I Love Takapuna Christmas Carnival on the 29th November.

Held as usual in Waiwharariki Anzac Square & Hurstmere Road Takapuna.

A brilliant day, but it sure was hot! Observation not a complaint :-)

The ever popular water feature got a big workout.

The event was opened by Terence Harpur Chief Executive of I Love Takapuna (and Deputy Chair local board) and Trish Deans the new chairperson of the local board.

Performers on the main stage were, Christmas Elf and Fairy magic, Christmas Carols with North Shore Brass Academy, Magic Show with Deston , Magical fun with Queen Elsa and Spiderman and closing out the afternoon with the great Zatakular Circus Spectacular.

Another great, well supported, I Love Takapuna event.

Saturday 1st of November saw the inaugural I Love Takapuna “Wellness Day” event take place in Potters park in Takapuna.

Held from 8am till 2pm several groups were taken through free workout sessions.

This was a day focused on helping you take care of your mind, body and general wellbeing.

People also able to enjoy the Wellness Market in Waiwharariki Anzac Square.

Weather was awesome and it is such a great space to enjoy.

The weather on Saturday the 3rd of May was stunning for the 2nd Filipino festival that was held in the wonderful Waiwharariki Anzac Square in Takapuna.

The large, happy, crowds enjoyed the many food stalls and live entertainment, bands, dancers.

Celebrating everything Filipino.

What a great day.
