Term 3 dance classes are starting soon in Mapua!

Our classes combine ballet foundations with creative movement and plenty of fun. Designed to build confidence, coordination and a love of dance.

I’m excited to offer a 6-week trial dance class just for 6–7 year olds!

🩰 A fun, confidence-building class with a ballet focus, while also incorporating jazz elements and creative movement. Perfect for kids ready to take the next step in dance 💫

✨ Kia ora, I’m Courtney - the face behind CB.Dance ✨

I grew up in Richmond, where dance quickly became my world. From the age of 5 through 15 I competed nationally and internationally in Jazz and Ballet before stepping into teaching and completing my IDTA Associate Ballet & Modern Jazz exams.

I began a Contemporary Dance degree in Auckland, but after some knee troubles, I pivoted and completed a Bachelor of Communications (PR & Media Studies). I then spent 10 years in Auckland, first working as an Agent in the TV/Film/Modelling industry and later as an Operations Manager for a Marketing & Promotions agency.

After our daughter Macy arrived, Mitch and I traded the city hustle for a the rural life, moving to Tasman Village to raise our family. You will see our two girls, Macy and Lani in the studio giving Mitch a run for his money while they bounce in and out of dancing.

It was here that I reconnected with my roots, stepping back into the studio as a relief teacher for my old dance school (and a few new ones!). Teaching reminded me of why I fell in love with dance in the first place - helping kids spark creativity, confidence and imagination through dance.

Now, through CB.Dance, I’m so excited to share that love with the next generation of dancers right here in our community. 💃✨
