Morph Fest

Imagine growing up thinking this was normal:
Your parents dancing until their feet hurt.
People actually knowing their neighbours.
Making a new best mate in about four minutes.
Running around outside all day while a whole bunch of adults are looking out for you.

We think about that a lot when we’re building Morph.
Obviously we want to create an unreal few days. We want incredible music, beautiful spaces, good food, dancing, workshops, ALL of it ✨

But there’s a bigger reason we want kids here too.
We want them to grow up seeing adults play.
Seeing people help each other.
Meeting all kinds of humans.
Feeling like they belong somewhere bigger than their own little family.
And maybe one day they’ll be the ones creating these spaces for us.

That’s a pretty f*cking beautiful thought 💚
For now though, we’ll keep building it for them, and for all of us.

Together we Morph.

your practice. your method. your weird little niche. your thing that gets people out of their heads and into the room with each other.

maybe it’s something you’ve taught a hundred times.
maybe it’s something you’re only just ready to share in a bigger way.

If it creates connection, curiosity, movement, learning, play, reflection or a genuine shift in the room, we want you to consider bringing it to Morph.

In a world that seems to move faster every year, creating spaces where kids can feel safe enough to be completely free feels VERY important to us 🤍

to run around, get curious, meet new people, to get muddy.
…to just be kids.

one of the things we loved most about the first Morph was watching the little ones become part of it all, not tucked away on the sidelines, but woven into the whole experience 😍

surrounded by familiar faces, new friends, aunties, uncles and a whole lot of humans looking out for one another 🫶🏽

there’s something really special about seeing that kind of freedom and connection happen naturally.

Some of our favourite moments from the first Morph were the ones we could never have planned.

And somehow those are always the stories that stick.

We think that’s part of why we’re so excited to do this again. Not because we know exactly what Morph 2027 is going to look like… we don’t.

We’re building the container.

The end made us pretty emotional, actually 🥹

Because underneath all the different answers, everyone kept coming back to the same things.

The people.
The whenua.
The friendships.
The crew.
The feeling of being somewhere you can just be yourself.

And yeah, of course we love the music. We love the stages, the dancing, the ridiculous outfits...

But somewhere in between all of that is the reason we really keep coming back.

It’s the person you meet at 2am who somehow feels like an old friend.
The conversations you didn’t plan on having.
The people you came with, and the people you leave with.

👉🏽That’s a huge part of WHY we built Morph in the first place.

Not because the world needed another festival.

Because we still believe we need places to gather like this.

And hearing people say it back to us in their own words... yeah. That got us 🤍

Here’s to doing it all again in 2027!

IT’S YOUR TURN 👀

Applications for Morph 2027 are officially open 💚

If you’ve got something you want to bring - music, movement, art, food, healing, a workshop, your mahi, your hands, or something we haven’t even thought of yet…
we want to hear from you.

For our 2026 edition, we received over 550 applications from people wanting to be part of Morph 🤯 so one little piece of advice from us: don’t leave yours until the last minute.

Morph is made by the people who show up with something to share. And if you’re someone who’s keen to get a little more involved while you’re there, tell us in your application. We’re a small team building a pretty big world, and we’ll always have a soft spot for the humans who are keen to roll up their sleeves and get amongst it.

If there’s one thing we keep coming back to when we look through photos from Morph, it’s the people.

the hugs. the dance floor moments. the new friendships. the familiar faces. the little in-between moments you probably didn’t even realise someone was capturing.

Mike Matthew captured so many of those moments for us, not just what Morph looked like, but what it felt like to be there, surrounded by a whole lot of humans sharing one very special weekend together…

because as much as we love the stages, the art, the music and everything we build around them… none of it really comes alive until each of you arrive 💚
