Excited about supporting the NZTrio this Saturday in Napier and inspiring our young classical musicians 🙌🏻🎶🎹🎻

Fazıl Say’s energetic Space Jump opens the programme, followed by Schumann’s lyrical Piano Trio No. 2. Keith Moss’ new work for NZTrio adds contemporary flair, before concluding with Reena Esmail’s rich fusion of Indian and Western musical traditions.

Thanks to the experienced musicians who generously mentored our HBYO players, and all the preparation by our dedicated HBYO Conductor Robbie Cargill. What a special opportunity!

Our Patron Mayor Wendy Schollum gave such an inspiring speech to open our recent Mother’s Day Concert. 🎶 She acknowledged the opportunity for young musicians to “become a part of something bigger than just yourselves”. And noted that performing cultivates “confidence, discipline and friendships”.
