Happy Tuesday to all our wonderful friends and customers,

We’re at the 11th week of our Container journey and we’ve been so lucky with the weather! March’s sunshine came in May. But rain is on its way. Much needed say the Farmers in our community.

We’ve welcomed 2k+ happy smiling faces since we opened our doors and we are very grateful and proud to have served you.

When the rain comes our container crew have got you covered, with our unique container to your car door ordering and delivery service.

A Lemon Basque, topped with Lemon Posset, White Chocolate Lemon Crumb, Rosemary & Lemon Syrup with Candied Lemon.

Dear Reviewer,

You visited us for the first time on Wednesday 12th May.
We greeted you and the lady & dogs with our warm welcome.
You ordered your coffees then proceeded to tell us you had tried to come and see us multiple times but we weren’t open.
You questioned why we were closed at 2pm as this didn’t work for you. You mentioned you had a relative that on a bad day likes to go to a shop after school and buy a cold drink. At no time did you ask about our drinks range or show any interest in our award winning drinks.
We originally had our opening hours to 2.30 daily, but foot traffic was light. So we made the right decision for our business to change these.
Our days and hours of operation have always been posted on our socials and google.
Rebecca tried to talk you thru our menu but you said you had just eaten.
Then the lady said “ I don’t like Cheese!”.
I offered up further conversation about our menu highlighting our famed Arancini and popular Basque Cheesecake. Which you then brought a piece.
You talked about the growth of our burgeoning suburb and you told us we need a Fish and Chip shop and a dairy in Maewa.
We hope you enjoyed your visit and we hope you find an eatery that works for you both.

How your review makes us feel -
As a business owner your review is inaccurate, offensive and very unhelpful. We believe our customers who have shown their love and appreciation of us since we have been trading here for the past 2+ years will agree with us.
You came across as sour and negative towards us and our newly launched eatery.
We have welcomed almost 1,500 customers thru our doors since launching and everyone apart from you have been beyond excited to have us and our food offering in Maewa.
A suggestion to you that maybe YOU might like to launch a start up Fish and Chip shop in Maewa as you strongly believed that’s what is needed.

Chris and I, and our Container Crew are proud of our success and trailblazing achievements.

From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU! to our Tradies, neighbour’s, Whanganui loyal customers, Feilding Over The Moon Cheese lovers,
Palmy Arancini diehards, friends and new customers who have found us.

From Day One you shared your excitement and love for The Container (and that colour!), popping up in the neighbourhood.

To the crowd that stood at The Container in the rain yesterday, that can’t have been fun!
But you were up for the long wait and gracious on our busiest day with online orders piling up on the printers.

It was a big leap of faith for us and our investment.
You all have overwhelmingly confirmed you’re on our journey to grow our community of Maewa together.

We’re working with our producers to bring seasonal additions to our menu.
