🌸🌿I hope you are all keeping as well as can be expected! I know I have been rather absent of late and have missed running my workshops and weekly sessions and sharing these occasions with you in order to focus on other musical projects (more on that in the next post!) Hopefully, you have found ways to keep singing as I know there are many community choirs out there now since I started this humble project in 2015... 🙏

🦩🌱Some of the regular Mix Tapers may already be aware that I will be starting up blocks of weekly Sunday afternoon sessions in Koputai Port Chalmers - as of mid May - for a small dedicated group of singers to work towards refining and developing harmonies for a curated set of songs from the existing Mix Tape repertoire (more on that soon...)🙏

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Kim, a much loved member of our Friday Soul sessions. Kim was a singer/songwriter/musician in her own right and we were privileged to have her gorgeous voice, love of music and harmonies in our group. She certainly forged strong bonds within our core group and loved to steal a wee sing with Alex at the end of each session. Kim was a generous soul, made a mean Margareta and it was a real treat to have her and brother Eldon sharing their long term love of singing with us in these sessions. She will be sorely missed. We send our heartfelt condolences to Eldon, friends and whanau RIP Kim ❤❤❤

SPECIAL thank you to this wonderful group for a particularly FANTASTIC weekend!! They just keep getting better and better and, with having stronger committed singers involved, I am delighted to focus more on my niche to build a dedicated Jazz/Soul choir! Watch this space!!!
