The people who mind their own business are often the most free. They’re able to be themselves without shame because they don’t spend their time judging or gossiping about others, so they’re less affected by opinions directed at them.
Don’t you think that sometimes being overly conscious of harmless things/activities about yourself comes from being judgmental or overly opinionated toward others? If we constantly judge people, wouldn’t we naturally become afraid of being judged the same way?.. Ultimately preventing us from being truly free and unapologetically ourselves?
The mind that constantly watches others eventually feels watched by everyone. Judgment creates self-consciousness. Sometimes our fear of criticism is just a reflection of the criticism we carry toward others. People often fear in others what they practice themselves. The less you obsess over others, the freer you become within yourself.
