Well, this has been a long time coming! πŸ€˜πŸ–€

Over the past few weeks (probably months πŸ˜‚), I've been working towards a personal goal of creating 10 larger-scale tattoo concepts that represent the direction I want to take my artwork!

My main focus has been neo-traditional black & grey β€” bold, clean designs, strong linework, good contrast and plenty of flow!

πŸ’€ Less is more! Simple tattoos done well!

Most of these concepts are intended for black & grey, but some would look wicked with subtle colour or even full colour!

🎨 A little about the process...

I use AI for references and mock-ups, alongside digital drawing on my iPad. But these aren't just quick AI-generated images! I've spent a lot of time developing ideas, refining linework, simplifying compositions and putting my own spin on things.

These are still concepts, and each design would be personally redrawn and refined to suit the client's body and placement.

To keep growing as an artist and develop a style that people recognise as my own!

Bigger, bolder, cleaner tattoos with strong compositions that stand the test of time!

This is the direction I'd love to take Evolve Ink and the type of artwork I want to become known for! πŸ–€

Of course, I'm still happy to take on realism, colour, fine line, cover-ups and all the awesome ideas you guys bring me!

I'm simply sharing what I've been working towards and where I want to head as an artist.

Smashed out this flowy forearm piece today!

Every element has its own little bit of meaning, tying in family history and heritage. All the main elements were requested by the client, so I drew them up, worked them together as best I could, and incorporated a few extra details to help everything flow nicely around the arm.

A mixture of Dutch clogs, Scottish thistles, tulips, roses, music and a butterfly, all brought together into one personalised piece.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out! 😁🀘

Smashed out this aggressive Mako shark today! πŸ’ͺ

Added this bad boy into an existing cover-up I worked on previously, and I reckon there's probably still more to come on this one!

We wanted the shark to flow naturally off the bottom of the upper arm, wrapping around just enough so it's still visible when wearing a T-shirt. 🀘

Kept it nice and bold with plenty of contrast, some movement in the water, and a bit of attitude! Really happy with how this one came together! 🦈πŸ”₯

I've got some spaces available over the next month or two and I'm keen to get a few new projects underway.
I'd especially love to take on some larger black & grey work β€” sleeves, half sleeves, leg projects, darker pieces, skulls, animals, geometric/ornamental work, or just something a little different. And I'd use maybe 4–6 of your absolute strongest tattoos, not 15–20. First photo should be the one that makes someone stop scrolling. Then I'd probably share the post to your story later today as well.
I also wouldn't advertise a discount. You're not trying to attract people because you're cheap; you're reminding people β€œI'm available, this is what I can do, come give me something cool.” That's a much better position.
