Before we plant… we place.

A big planting day at our Sheffield garden this week.

Once we've sourced all the plants for a garden, one of the most important parts is laying everything out before a single hole is dug.

This gives us a chance to stand back, look at the garden as a whole and make sure the spacing, repetition, heights and balance all work together.

And yes… plants quite often get moved around a few times before we're happy! 😂

It might look a little sparse while everything is young, but we're always thinking about how the garden will look once the plants establish and grow into their space.

Designing the garden is one thing. Seeing it start to come to life is another.

Who'd love a beautiful and structural iron archway in their garden this summer?

Beautiful structures for climbing roses, clematis, wisteria, sweet peas and beans.

We have a number of arches already constructed here in the Art 'N' Iron yard on Tram Road, with varying decorative elements or simple and strong. (Prices on each photo FYI.)

Of course, you can also talk with Bob about making one to your specific requirements. In the past, we've made bespoke, two sided archways for a corner garden and a set of three matching arches to create a special framed avenue.
