New beginnings… with lots of activity behind the scenes lately, setting up my new studio in Blackheath. It’s taken much effort at a time I’ve needed to be off the screen, and now Wooldancer has landed home.
I have been offering creative art therapy in this space for the last 10 months, a dedicated space to compliment my mobile therapy practice. This year I’ve been taking my time slowly incorporating Wooldancer. It feels grounding to now be able to share a working fibre arts space with art therapy clients as well as fellow fibre enthusiasts.
My own self care practices that provide a soft space for me to reflect while putting my hands into gentle tactile processes has been helping with my own internal experiences with the recent passing of dad. Geoff provided a stable and encouraging support for practical aspects of Wooldancer events, so they have taken pause.
I have unearthed some beautiful yarn and fibre from my store that is ready to find new homes too. I’ll have a sprinkle of these plus other crafty stash items available at the upcoming market on Sunday 31 May at the Blackheath Community Hall from 9am-3pm.
So, if you like a bargain do come along to reconnect, I’m sure you’ll find plenty of joy to be had rustling through pre-loved treasures.
