CTV Families Trust

CTV Families Trust Charitable trust supporting family members of deceased Canterbury Television employees.

The trust was set up to raise donations and support for the families of Canterbury Television, who lost loved ones in the collapse of the CTV building on February 22, 2011. The trust was founded by three ex-CTV staff members in March 2011 and since then donations and support have come in from all over the world. We are hugely grateful to the support we have received and would like to thank all those who have generously donated to this cause.

We'll be releasing throughout the rest of Aotearoa in September, before heading to festivals in Australia, Nth America and Europe.

Grab your friends and family and enjoy a film about partnership, perseverance, loss and architectural magnificence.

Maurice and I is a feature-length documentary celebrating Sir Miles Warren and Maurice Mahoney’s hugely influential architectural partnership, and their legacy that was all but lost in the devastating Christchurch earthquakes. Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all keeping well. As you know the City Council is running a service at 12noon in Latimer Square on February 22nd aniversary of the earthquake. Just to give everyone a heads up we are planning to have a remembrance time at the CTV site 249 Madras Street at 5.30pm on February 22nd for present and past staff and any of the families of the loved ones who died who may wish to attend. At this stage we may have some picnic like tea in Latimer Square after this and for those who want continue on to a venue yet to be named for a few drinks. Please let any others you know who may wish to be part of this. There will be a further email following as more definite arrangemanets materialise.
Thanks

Merry Christmas to all our CTV families! We are thinking of you all during this holiday season and we hope you can finally put all these donations to good use. The trust would like to thank all those who raised funds on behalf of our families - in New Zealand and around the world. A massive thanks to the wider NZ public - your generosity, messages of support and love are deeply appreciated and it is truly inspirational to experience this side of the human spirit in the face of such tragedy. We continue to cherish the memory of our dear friends, colleagues and family members and it's been a pleasure to pass on such expressions of sympathy and support to you at this time. God bless, and have a safe and happy Christmas.
