Alexandra comps....the last comp together for both our DNA duo and Angelix trio 😪
DNA is made up of Dada and Aaliyah, these two girls are both amazing on and off the stage. They flow and connect so well as a duo and that is what has made them such a success walking away with so many well deserved 1st places.....AND 1st place is what they walked away with this weekend, a massive achievement and so well deserved....Girls I'm going to miss watching you both dancing along side each other and the beautiful friendship you have created on your way!
ANGELIX is made up of Dada, Pip and Mikayla! Three amazing, energetic and super talented girls...they walked away with a very well deserved 3rd place this weekend!! So proud of you all, again another beautiful friendship on and off the stage that I'm going to miss...I'm so lucky to have all these girls as students and dance teachers at DIOS.
Dada and Pip I hope you continue to Dance It Out wherever your next chapter of life takes you...Well done girls x

As we wait to board our flight home we just want to say another big thank you anyone who supported us and anyone who purchased a number for a Got your back tee. Major thanks to MLT, Gore River Valley Lions Club and Transport Repairs for their sponsorship. Thank you all again. One last thank you also goes to one of Illuminates choreographers, Jorja Whyte, you're hard work with the girls never goes unnoticed...Thank you 🥰

NYPA...we tried so hard to get there! Months of fundraising, hard work in and out of the studio and everywhere else BUT unfortunately mother nature had other plans and it wasn't to be and we are unfortunately stuck in Christchurch.
To this amazing group of girl's...the IllUMATINATE crew. The most positive group of girl's I know. They boarded the plane at 6.30am in Invercargill only to be stuck at the airport in Christchurch all day and have their flight canceled. Devastated 💔 BUT they never gave up hope! In true southland style we pushed on...the girl's brushed it off, got dressed up and they still preformed...they performed to those around us, they performed to you on social media but mostly importantly they performed for themselves for the last time together as a dance crew.
I'm so super proud of these amazing girls and the positive attitude they maintained during the situation. We have still made amazing memories, lots and lots of laughs and just being together and being safe...we are super thankful.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way. Our sponsors, friends and families thank you so much for all your support we appreciate it so much, thanks for believing in us.
To my two amazing parent helpers, thank-you for all your help up here and keeping myself and the girls level headed, so thankful to have you here with me. To our parents who were back home cheering us on and crossing their fingers for us...to the ones messaging their support and heartbreak and to our beautiful examiner who has kept in contact and helped us along our journey to NYPA...THANK YOU! Mother nature has taken our dance comp dream but they haven't taken our fighting spirit....you will see us back next year bigger and better than ever!! Watch this space and see us take it another level as we DANCE IT OUT x
