It’s been 1-year (and a few days) since Coral and Josh took over at McGlashen Pottery. One thing they knew they wanted to do was pay tribute to the amazing shapes inherited from Royce, while giving them a splash of “something new” - they settled on widening the range of colours offered in the smaller bowls, Coral and Josh hope you like the colours on offer and are open to some new canon/stock colour-ways.

Maybe a pink or something else? What colours do you want to see this year?

This is a special Valentine’s Day post, celebrating the one and only 128 Ellis St McGlashen Pottery Gallery - showing the space some love.

Designed by Ian Jack in the late 1970s and opened in 1980, this stunning building is lined with exposed Rimu and continues to impress visitors from all over.

Recently we gave the gallery plinths a bit of a spruce up, have a look through the pictures and let us know what you think 🥰🐚

Mid-week sunshine, hope you are all doing well and we've seen the worst half of winter.

Thought we'd share with you some of our new products/designs - bringing colours to the classic range has been really fun over the last couple months including green, blue, and aqua glazes for our Dipping Shells.

Other new things to browse, we now do a blue colour-way for our dinnerware which we are calling "Sapphire" - it gives some variation to our famous Green Ripple salt glaze.

Also, we'd love to know what you think of Coral's new decorations, she continues to expand her "Flowers" designs and we want to do more tumblers as well as mugs. Plus, check out Coral's amazing abstract decorations in the "Splash" range - a stylistic funky retro look, each one made up by Coral as she decorates (each piece is drawn and glazed by hand, no two the same).

Hand decorated by Coral, Flower Mugs.

After the love shown for Coral’s new floral decoration in our 3-month update post we now have a small batch of Flower Mugs on the online store up for grabs, a few in pink and a few in blue - we hope you like them.

Simple and whimsical, these flower mugs are hand painted by Coral and every one is unique. Splashes of colour and flowing black lines form the flowers, one on each side of every mug. The colours of the flowers on each side of the mugs match, so a pink mug will have pink flowers on both sides. At the...
