Mind the Gap is back together after our epic journeys!

We took a pit stop to catch our breath and fully refuel, and then we read through a lovely collection of cards and notes❣️— you all really know how to keep our wheels turning! And, we’re feeling well and truly spoilt by all the goodies too 🍫🎁 🍷🥜🍯🍪

Thanks for keeping our excitement and nerves on the right track and sending so much love down the line.

Team Automobile has arrived safely and reports that Ruapehu was particularly stunning today. Team train was spotted departing Waiouru but they didn’t wave back.

Quartet briefing has been completed and team train and plane are expected imminently.

All aboard! Mind the Gap is a novice quartet within Greater Auckland Chorus, made up of four humans who love trains, harmonies, and questionable humour — proudly rolling into Palmerston North as contestant #8...
Formed in early 2026, they’ve been analysing tracks, building speed, tightening couplings, and learning which switches not to touch! They say things might go a little off-schedule as a newly formed quartet, but that’s all part of the learning journey.
They’re looking forward to the experience and the opportunity to share their very first adventure with all their Sweet Adelines friends this May.
