Today about 15 of our group performed a concert for the Browns Bay Ladies Club 10th birthday we sung a variety of songs from rock songs to ballads in the Gumboot song with Fred Dagg. Everybody enjoyed themselves and we even had them up dancing

Today about 15 from our group put on a concert for the Browns Bay Ladies Club for their 10th birthday celebration. We sung and played a variety of songs from rock to ballads and even the Gumboot song where Hugh from our group dressed up as Fred Dag . Everyone enjoyed themselves and we even had people up dancing

What a great concert we had yesterday brilliant audience we actually ran out of seating and was standing room only at the back which was amazing.

Everyone enjoyed themselves the audience got involved dancing and singing clapping their hands and the feedback was really great.
Looking forward to doing the next concert the last Wednesday of the school term

Another great end of term concert this week. We sing songs from the 60s 70s and 80s and with the experienced musicians backing the group it sounds really good. The audience enjoyed themselves and sung along with us.

If you missed this concert you missed out on a fun afternoon but
we put on a concert the last Wednesday of every school term so keep an eye out for our next one

As we approach the end of 2025 let’s reflect.
It has been an amazing year and our group has now expanded to over 40 members.
We played and sung a wide variety of songs from the 60s, 70s and 80 and although I grew up in that era, many of us hadn’t heard of some of the songs so it was fun to learn new ones. There were a few frustrating moments but we had lots of laughs and nailed them in the end.
We always put on a concert at the end of each school term and the audience filled the hall to capacity singing along with us.
Sadly 3 of our members passed away during the year which was really sad and we miss them terribly so we sung their favourite song as a dedication.
2026 is going to be another fun year so if you play a ukulele and or sing come and check us out we are like one BIG fun family.
