As we approach the end of 2025 let’s reflect.
It has been an amazing year and our group has now expanded to over 40 members.
We played and sung a wide variety of songs from the 60s, 70s and 80 and although I grew up in that era, many of us hadn’t heard of some of the songs so it was fun to learn new ones. There were a few frustrating moments but we had lots of laughs and nailed them in the end.
We always put on a concert at the end of each school term and the audience filled the hall to capacity singing along with us.
Sadly 3 of our members passed away during the year which was really sad and we miss them terribly so we sung their favourite song as a dedication.
2026 is going to be another fun year so if you play a ukulele and or sing come and check us out we are like one BIG fun family.

Wow we did the unusual songs at practice today they are going to make our concert really interesting

Another great practice this afternoon our next concert should be a real hoot we have some cool songs that we’re practising so keep watching the space

What a great concert we had yesterday the theme was Silver Series so some of us dressed up as well. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the audience was clapping along to the music. Our 4 main guitarists gave a great performance keeping us all in time and the sound was amazing.

Now we start practicing for our Christmas concert which is the last Wednesday of the school term so watch this space for the actual date.

UFOS meet every Wednesday during the school terms in the Presbyterian church hall 45 Anzac Road Browns Bay at 1 pm till 2.30pm. We perform a concert at the end of each term so pop along and join in the fun.
