For the last few days, I have been trying to paint flowers & plants in my new sketchbook.
In fact I hope to complete this small book in a month's time- it's not a challenge. I don't like challenges 😅 but it's because this is a 'cheap' sketchbook and the papers might stretch in our humid weather😥
But due to my busy schedule, I might have to paint whenever I am free.
Art should be relaxing and not done in a rush.
I am just thinking what flowers should I paint...

I like to draw patterns and create designs. I knew it because when I was in secondary school, we always had to draw decorative borders around our manuscript writings. I always got A++ for that and this encouraged me a lot.

Growing up, I am always a sweet toothed person, loved to eat kuehs and stuff for breakfast These days, eating kuehs are occasional treats:)
I also have a liking for these blue and white porcelain cups, ornaments and tend to collect a few.

I have been really going slow this year, at least I am trying.
I haven't been able to do much painting nor teaching since this year 2026😱
But I really would love to go back to the teaching and running workshops, meeting my students, sharing my skill and being happy.
But again, there's so much to do and discover...
Meanwhile I am happy selling my paintings to those of you who love my arts and like to have a piece or 2 or 3 at your home.

It took me almost a year to revisit my peony painting that I started. Really???
I guessed I have been busy with life, some priorities have been shifted.
I started going to the gym last May and consistent brisk walking, more for health reasons.
Since I was young, I don't like sports, art is my only interest.
I am trying to balance now, it will take time. But again, for someone who cooks to survive, suddenly I become interested in cooking ( still simple cooking) at least my family is happy.
So now I have 3 things to keep me busy😂
