Vocal : Dr Sarah Court

DR. SARAH COURT
Born in Te Awamutu, New Zealand, Sarah holds music degrees from the University of Otago and the University of Waikato. She continued her musical education at the Prague conservatoire under the tutelage of Antonie Denygrova. Sarah also graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium (Griffith University) with a Doctor of Musical Arts under the supervision of Lisa Gasteen. Sarah was an Emerging Artist with New Zealand Opera, a Dame Sister Mary Leo Foundation scholar, a finalist in the New Zealand Aria, and a semi-finalist in the Lexus Song Quest. In recent years Sarah was part of the team at New Zealand Opera as they introduced The Lullaby Project from Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute to mothers and babies in Aotearoa New Zealand. She joined the NZSO and SOUNZ at the NZ Composer sessions to record Michael Vinten's "Six Korean Love Poems", as well as performing with the NZSO for their 2020 performance of Messiah. Sarah is regularly called on as an adjudicator, and loves the opportunity to connect with and give back to emerging performers.

Piano : Sandy Lynch Music

Sandy Lynch was brought up with a classical piano teacher mother and an ear-player father. She was lucky to receive a thorough education in both mediums. She entered many competitions in Thames and Waikato during her younger years and received the highest marks in the Waikato for ATCL Piano Performers. She also received a Trinity College Exhibition Award during her teenage years.

Introducing our Adjudicators for 2026

Piano : Camila de Oliveira

Camila De Oliveira is a Brazilian pianist, educator, and collaborative artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. She began her musical journey at the age of six and pursued undergraduate studies in piano performance at the Faculdade de Artes Alcântara Machado in Brazil. Camila earned her Postgraduate Diploma in Music and her Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the University of Auckland, where she is currently completing her doctoral studies. Her doctoral research focuses on evaluating the playability required for executing virtuoso piano repertoire using an ergonomically scaled piano keyboard (ESPK), a keyboard with narrower keys.
In 2024, Camila presented a lecture-recital at the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference in Melbourne, Australia, and in July 2025, she presented at the National Piano Keyboard Conference in Chicago, USA. She has been awarded the Llewelyn Jones Prize in Music for Piano at the University of Auckland in both 2019 and 2020, as well as the APO Aspiring Musician Scholarship in 2020.
Camila is passionate about teaching and guiding students to reach their full potential. She serves as a piano teacher at the University of Auckland and is a founding member of the Auckland Chamber Music Collective, an ensemble dedicated to championing women composers, New Zealand composers, and living composers.
