This project revives the fading Bengali tradition of "nokshi katha," or embroidered quilts, where groups of Bengali women would gather to stitch their daily narratives onto a shared cloth.

Going to be delivering a lot of workshops this October for Diwali woohoo!! 🥳🥳

I am doing a new concept of everyone stitching a sun motif, inspired by Nokshi Kantha. It will then be joined together to create a tapestry & will be permanently displayed at

Free register in bio or use the QR code :) You can come to any of the days or multiple, up to you!! More people the better so bring anyone who would be interested❤️

Location: New Lynn War Memorial Library

I’ll also have my usual drop-in Nokshi Kotha Workshop at the City Library, join us anytime between 12pm-3pm, Oct 12th if you want a quiet spot or need a break from the BNZ Diwali Fest 🎊 no registration required xx

2nd Nokshi Kotha Workshop out East! Lots of kiddos this round and it was very wholesome😭

Our last and biggest workshop yet is happening this Sunday at Botany Library 10:30am-3.30pm. Although this is a drop-in (whenever you like) session please register your interest. Link in bio (so I can gage in numbers)

Bring friends and family to chill in this safe and relaxing space. Learn about nokshi katha and contribute to the embroidered mural!

This is a project funded by Arts Out East, supported by Te Tuhi and the Local Howick Board.

My last workshop out East is happening this Sunday 10:30am -3:30pm! Botany Library🪷

Come along to learn about nokshi katha and contribute to a growing embroidered mural. This is a drop-in session so you can come and go as you please! Snacks will be provided.

Great lil activity to do out with your family and friends and want a break from shopping 💗

No experience is needed, suitable for ages 13+

Register in bio (this is so a can gage in numbers) however feel free to bring more people on the day.
