It's been a minute but the box is finally open! 👀
For those who've been following along - yeah, it's been a bit of a journey. My hard drive failure in November took years of work with it, had a bit of creative paralysis and felt lost for a fair while, my new PC sat unopened for about 6 months (life, stuff, things), and there have been a lot of packed days with little left of motivation for the escape that brings me joy.
Typically I'd be moving files over from an older device to a new one, but with all my files gone from recent years, it felt a little sad in that not much had to be moved over, and I honestly didn't know where to start - so I guess part of it was procrastination and that ongoing grieving process, I just put it off.
But the box is open. The setup is done. Gotta say, it feels like a proper reset and one that I've needed for over a decade. New Alienware Area 51. Alienware 34" monitor. My studio is on the way back and this time I've got the rig to match.
Today I reinstalled my video and audio editing software (😭), so next up is the creation of new templates and tidying up the rest of my studio. Looking to order some new accessories to enhance my setup, cable manage eventually once I have everything sorted, but it's getting there!
