đŸ”„We are thrilled to announce that Oceania Tango Congress & Championship is part of the Auckland City Council's event 'Auckland World of Culture' representing the culture of Argentina!

đŸ”„Showcasing Argentina's’ culture, bringing you live music all the way from Buenos Aires, the amazing Quintet Tango Bardo with breath taking performances of the tango masters.

There will be Free spectators entry of the tango championship at Takapuna, Beginners workshop, live music, folklore & dancing at Devonport Wharf.

Come and invite some friends and family to enjoy the event during the week or weekend from 10th - 14th April 2024.

We are thrilled to announce one of the greatest Tango Band of recent times, Tango Bardo from Argentina will feature at the Oceania Tango Congress & Championship 11th-14th April 2024.
Tango Bardo’s performance promises to be one of the highlights of the festival. With their energetic, rhythmical, and powerful sounds leaves the audience an awe.

Their performances around the world and most recently from Australia’s Moonlight Winter Tango Festival event was amazing and received high praises from the crowd.

WHO'S COMING @ OTCC2024?

đŸ”„đŸ”„We are thrilled to announce another Master of Tango joining our panel of judges, Carolina Bonaventura. Known as the ‘Ambassador of Tango to the World’, Carolina is a dancer, teacher, judge, researcher, choreographer and director of tango Argentina with a comprehensive arts training.

Her formal academic training gave her the ability to envision the abstract concepts necessary to create her own teaching method, MĂ©todo Bonaventura Âź. This method is taught around the world.

Precision, perception, and broad technical mastery allowed her to achieve fine musical appreciation that is focused on innovation without losing the traditional essence of tango.

WHO'S COMING @ OTCC2024?

đŸ”„đŸ”„Award winning tango couple of the year 2023, Maximiliano Christiani & Ayse Gencalp for the Short Tango Film ‘Angel’, Near Nazareth Festival and Best Choreography of the Music Film Festival 2023 winners will be joining us on 11th– 14th April 2024 to Oceania Tango Congress & Championship here in Auckland, New Zealand.

This couple are both highly accomplished in the world of tango. Their performances are elegant with grace and precision. Maximiliano a World Tango Champion in Salon 2013, highly regarded teacher, tango coach competitors and director of the Championship Preliminaries in Brazil and Malaysia. Ayse is an accomplished dancer, teacher and performer that leads her to travel around the world. Her award-winning performance at the Tango Short Film Ángel’ has proven her professional capability.
They will again be sharing their expertise in the workshops and grace the floor with elegant performances.
