First repot for an incredible ‘Bottlebrush’
————

It’s extremely rare for a tree to have so many inherent special characteristics, a tree we cannot wait to explore and design in the future.

For now, rest, growth - Development.

Excerpt: ‘11 April 2024, 11:52am - The separation of the Air-layer from the parent tree performed. The Air-layer was placed on the parent tree in late winter of 2023. As to the timing of the Air-layer placement and even down to the visual cues when slicing into the bark of the tree, these will tell you where that tree is in its growth/ annual cycle.’

Pandorea pandorana ‘Snowbells’ (Wonga Wonga vine)
———————

Native to Australia and commonly available here in New Zealand, is this a beautiful local alternative to the Wisteria?

When I originally dug this twisted vine up a couple of years back, the owner had said this was a Jasmine, I was presently surprised after this year’s flowering to discover its origins.

I look forward to future years of more and more flowers!

Excerpt: ‘When studying a progression image like this, your first thought should be to look for signs of continual development work. If this ‘tree,’ had a nice clean silhouette then you know the tree is not being developed to a high standard.’
