I need 50 plates in 3 weeks. Will I make it in time? The life of a ceramicist is 10% creating and 90% negotiating with the pottery gods (and the drying rack). Between the throwing, trimming, drying, and the double-firing process, three weeks is a tight squeeze!
One crack in the kiln or a humid day that slows down drying, and the whole timeline shifts. It’s a high-stakes game of "hurry up and wait," but there is nothing quite like the rhythm of a large commission to find your flow.
