The Year of the Fire Horse doesn't arrive quietly.

Janice Corbishley felt it — and she made it visible. Torn paper by torn paper, fragment by fragment, until a carousel horse mid-stride emerged from the chaos. Red surging beneath its hooves. Gold catching the light. Something ancient and electric all at once.

There's something about this painting that just makes you love Napier all over again. 💙

Bari Duncan has turned her eye from the coast to the city — and "City in Summer" is the result. Napier's iconic T & G Building, bathed in warm afternoon light. The teal dome glowing. The Norfolk pines standing tall. The golden colonnade catching every bit of that summer warmth.

Bari's mastery of light is extraordinary — and here she brings it to a subject so many of us know and love.
