I am delighted to learn that the International Group Art Exhibition is going to be held in the historic art district of Ginza, Tokyo from August 3rd to August 8th, 2026. It is particularly encouraging to know that this prestigious exhibition is bringing together distinguished artists and art enthusiasts from different parts of the world.
It is noteworthy that the objective of this exhibition continues to foster global cultural exchange and strengthen international ties through visual arts. Art is a universal language that transcends geographical boundaries, cultural differences, and linguistic barriers. Through exhibitions of this nature, artists are provided with a valuable platform to share their perspectives, experiences, and creative expressions with an international audience.
As this year's exhibition will showcase extraordinary art works featuring prominent artists from Bangladesh, Canada, India, and Japan, I am optimistic that the exhibition will offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience the richness of contemporary art from different cultural traditions, and also highlight the dynamic contributions of Bangladeshi artists to the global art landscape.
Bangladesh and Japan share a longstanding friendship founded on mutual respect, trust, and cooperation. Cultural exchanges such as this exhibition further strengthen these bonds while creating new avenues for collaboration among artists, institutions, and communities across the world.
As part of our commitment to promoting people-to-people connectivity and cultural diplomacy, the Embassy warmly welcomes and supports endeavours that encourage artistic collaboration and international understanding.
I extend my sincere appreciation to Dot To Line, RuMoon, ARTKOLA, the participating artists, organizers, sponsors, supporters, and art enthusiasts whose dedication has made this remarkable exhibition possible. I wish the exhibition every success.
Darcofli (Md. Daud Ali)
