“Bursting Blue Bone Bark” is the melding of two artists, Eric Mingus and Knox Chandler, brewing a stew of post apocalyptic urban blues. Their brotherhood spans several decades
originating from Hal Willner’s themed concerts, in which they performed with Lou Reed, Dr. John, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson, David Byrne, Brian Ferry, U2 and many more... Mingus and Chandler combine song and poetry with organic infused electronics, blending styles steeped in a futuristic sonic soup.

sing with defiance.
For the ones, who have been deemed voiceless, it is important to intonate,
intonate their truth,
intonate their life,
intonate their defiance.
It is with this spirit, we invite Tibetan musician and activist Loten Namling and multi-instrumentalist Knox Chandler , to collaborate over an evening of songs, that embody the Songs of Resistance. Mixing genres, timelines and languages, Loten and Knox will improvise on each others melodies to form 'Tibet Blues'.
The music session would be followed by a talk moderated by Abhishek Nilamber on his journey as an Music Activist.
Loten Namling is a noted Indian-born singer, musician artist, entertainer and cartoonist currently living in Switzerland. He is working on his project, "Blues", in which he explores paths linking the songs to culture.
The 14th Dalai Lama once called Loten "a singer with a voice.”

Knox Chandler is a multi-instrumentalist and a pedagogue whose musical journey spans more than three decades along with many notable names. He worked with such acts as Depeche Mode, Lori Carson, The Golden Palominos, the Psychedelic Furs, Ultra Vivid Scene, Maggie Estep, the Creatures and R.E.M.
