The artwork portrays a man placed in the position of pregnancy, lying down and clutching his stomach in visible pain. His expression reflects discomfort and strain, symbolizing how overwhelming the experience can be when one truly bears the burden. The womb is represented as the Earth, suggesting that pregnancy is not just a personal journey but a responsibility that sustains life itself.
Surrounding him are sanitary pads labeled with words such as “Responsibilities,” “Society, Nine Months of Silence, and “I just want to empathize her pain.” These elements act as voices and expectations imposed on women—often unspoken, normalized, and ignored.
