Hotel Forest Inn Limited is a hospitality company preparing to enter Nepal’s capital market through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the general public, opening from Magh 22, 2082.
The company has an issued capital of NPR 2 billion, out of which 20% (4 million unit shares) has been allocated for public issuance. From this public portion, 10% (400,000 units) have already been allotted to Nepalese citizens working abroad. The remaining shares are being offered to employees, mutual funds, and the general public.
For the general public, the company will issue 3,320,000 unit shares at a face value of NPR 100 per unit, amounting to NPR 332 million. The IPO will close on Magh 26, 2082, and if the issue is not fully subscribed, the closing date will be extended to Falgun 8, 2082. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 200,000 units.
Out of the total public issue, 2% (80,000 units) have been reserved for company employees, while 5% (200,000 units) are allocated for mutual funds. The IPO issue manager is NIC Asia Capital Limited.
Hotel Forest Inn Limited was incorporated on November 22, 2010 and is currently developing a hotel project in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, spread over 142,783 square feet of land. The hotel will feature 102 room keys and is proposed to be developed as a five-star hotel property.
The company has entered into a license agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to operate the hotel under the international brand “Holiday Inn”, a well-known American mid-scale hotel chain. The hotel is expected to begin operations from October 2023.
In terms of credit risk, CARE Ratings Nepal Limited has assigned a CARE-NP BB- rating to the company’s long-term bank facilities, indicating a moderate level of credit risk.
