SONG FARM 2026
Sunday, 14th June – Thursday, 18th June at Saltögården, Saltö, SwedenPowered by daWorks Music Publishing, The Woods, and BYRÅ

daWorks Music Publishing, The Woods, and BYRÅ are hosting Song Farm for the 16th time this year since its start in 2010. Song Farm has become one of Scandinavia's largest, oldest, and most renowned songwriting camps. It brings together some of the best Nordic and international professional songwriters and artists from various record labels, music publishers, and management companies. Song Farm is open to anyone who has such representation. The goal is to create great songs with specific artists while helping participants expand their Norwegian and international networks. The musical focus is on writing hit songs in genres like pop, R&B, hip-hop, and EDM. Song Farm 2026 is organised with support from the Norwegian Music Publishers Association.

Song Farm 2026 will take place from Sunday, 14th June, to Thursday, 18th June, at the idyllic Norwegian-owned Saltögården on Saltö, just south of Strömstad, Sweden (about a 2-hour drive from Oslo). The island is a nature reserve connected by a bridge located at the edge of the archipelago near Kosterfjorden. The houses at Saltögården are equipped with grand pianos.
The participation fee is EUR 220 per person and includes shared bus transportation, accommodation, meals, drinks, snacks, and participation.

Most participants fly to Oslo and join our bus to Song Farm. The bus departs from the Opera House/Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), a short walk from the Airport Express Train, on Sunday, 15th June, at 7:00 PM and returns on Thursday, 19th June, at 12:00 PM (arriving in Oslo around 3:00 PM). The Airport Express Train between Oslo Airport (OSL) and Oslo S takes 19 minutes. Everyone arrives at Song Farm on Sunday evening, with songwriting sessions taking place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Check-out is on Thursday after breakfast.
Song Farm hosts close to 50 of the Nordic region's leading professional songwriters and artists in popular music, along with participants from outside the Nordic countries. Each year, more than 12 nations are represented at the camp. Song Farm is a co-writing event where collaboration with artists on their specific recording projects is the main focus. Participating artists come from both major and independent record labels in Norway and abroad. We also write for concrete leads and pitching.

Each morning during the three songwriting days, 11 new teams of three to four songwriters/artists are formed at breakfast. Throughout the day, a new song is written and presented to the group at 10:00 PM. Teams rotate daily, allowing participants to work with new collaborators. Teams include a tracker/producer responsible for creating the song demo, working alongside an artist and 1–2 topliners (melody/lyrics). Gender balance is prioritised, with a target of 50/50 male and female participants.

The final participant list for Song Farm will be ready in May.

For the sixth consecutive year, Norwegian publishers The Woods, daWorks, and BYRÅ, supported by The Norwegian Music Publisher Association, will invite professional Norwegian, British, and international songwriters and artists to Bad Manors' songwriting camp. Six artists who need songs for their upcoming recording projects will join the teams for co-writing (the artists have a first option to cut the songs). Songs will be presented each night at 22.00 (10 pm). We always aim for 50/50 female/male participation.
