Backstory: Since we currently are not allowed to sit and enjoy our coffee and tea in Oslo these days, I thought I should try to find another way to appreciate my favourite café, Fuglen. Hence, I ended up painting it. I love the quality of their products, the atmosphere at the coffee shop and all the interesting conversations one might suddenly hear, coming from another table nearby. I have brought many friends with me to Fuglen.
In 2012/13 I was also so lucky as to go to Japan and visit their café in Tokyo, Tomigaya . That café is naturally also just lovely, and my friend and I were very happy to let time slowly pass by there. It is one of my many lovely memories from my time in Tokyo. I sincerely hope I will find a chance to og back to Japan and travel more around the country. There is so much more there that I want to experience and learn more about!
In the meantime, I hope we can enjoy more of life locally soon. Take care of yourselves, support your locals and see you soon. お元気でまたね~ 🌚🇳🇴🇯🇵☕️❤️🤍✨

Style/Medium: My main medium in this painting is watercolor by Winsor & Newton, however I have also used some of my colored pencils from the Caran d'Ache Luminance series and Faber Castell. The colored pencils were very handy, when I worked on the smaller details.
