While Norway is a major oil producer, Gasoline is expensive primarily due to high government taxes, it is designed to reduce emissions and encourage electric vehicle adoption.

However, to combat soaring costs, Parliament temporarily removed the (veibruksavgift ) road usage tax from April 1 to September 1, 2026, lowering prices by nearly 5 NOK/liter for petrol.

I am amazed at how the government in Norway makes smart decisions. They created a temporary solution because they understand the economic situation of many people.🍀
