My first trade fair as an exhibitor. Possibly my 2nd one overall??? although I might have been at some as a student or something.
Incredible to look back and see even the dates of the first time selling things to people and not just online fell on the same date as the last day of the trade fair.
It was worth doing the fair even just for me to get a check in with myself to see how far I've come. And I can't wait to ship products from myself , .design🇳🇴, .nl , and .square to new shops around Norway so more people come across it and might get hooked on taking care of what they already own and learn new craft techniques as they do.
Big thank you to the customers who buy from me and tell other people about me and the business, the businesses who have given me wiggle room when I've struggled to pay on time, my family, and especially my mom who's been driving me around a lot these past years (I've decided I need to get my drivers license in 2027...), my employee who stuck it out while I was abroad for a year and almost went bankrupt, the random volunteers who have offered to help, some for a few hours on one occasion, some consistantly over several months, organisers who book me for workshops and presentations, my ex who has really had to carry most of the mental and logistical and financial load of taking care of the kids after we got separated last year to give me a real chance to become financially independent, my kids who are so kind and smart and understanding and supportive.
If this is what could happen in 6 years starting from burnout and no money, no dedicated space, etc, imagine what can happen when the "after" video here is the "before". And thank you to the new places who will be selling some of these things to their customers 😊
