Look who’s coming to the Netherlands? William Wegert, for the first time in… well, a very long time! 🤩

We are beyond excited for this weekend! Expect lots of details to improve your dance, presence, yumminess, and flow. His superpower is making you slow down, balancing intricate detail and “keeping it simple.”

And of course… because it’s William, also expect some goofiness 🫠😂

He will join forces with Xanne, bringing softness and playfulness!

⭐️ Level: if you’ve completed the UZ Essentials or know your 10 BZ fundamentals, you’re good to join!
⭐️ Social-only tickets for the Saturday afternoon social will also be available.

We bring you a beginner friendly, open level workshop with Xanne & Cynthia at 13:00, then our beloved Rookie Rhythm Hour for fresh faces and experienced dancers alike, and three hours of social dancing with DJ WinX & DJ Denise to finish it off 🕺💃

Optional dinner together after 18:00 because why stop dancing when you can keep connecting? 🍽️

Foundations Intensive #2 = DONE 🔥

3hours of elasticity, body movement, linear headmovements and another combination of fundamental patterns ready for the dancefloor!! 💪🏻🔥 We absolutely love these deep dives and it is so so important to keep investing in your foundations, always 🥹

We had equal balance thanks to many leaders who came to help, but were are my intermediate level leaders who are ready to invest in their dance?!? You have two more opportunities before summer!!

Torsion: One of those concepts that sounds so technical… but is actually something your body already does every single day when you walk down the street!

In Brazilian Zouk, torsion is what creates elasticity.
It creates flow.
It creates that connected, yummy feeling we all love 💛

That’s why this entire month at Utrecht Zouk we’ve been working on torsion in every level, and every class: from Essentials to Advanced, Lambada and solo classes included too!

Not as a trick.
Not as a move.
But as a movement principle.

When you understand how your body stores and releases energy through torsion, your dance changes.
Not bigger.
Not flashier.
Just.. better. Yummier. We dare you to try it! 😉

And yes, this was also one of the big themes of our Foundations Intensive 🔥

Our weekly Foundations classes sold out fast, so we created something different!

Four monthly intensive training days where you build the depth that makes Brazilian Zouk feel comfortable, controlled, and free.

In these intensives we will be training the core techniques so well that simple becomes powerful.

And if you know, you know: Simple does NOT mean basic! 😉

CARNAVAL DO NORDESTE WORKSHOPS WITH CARLOS FREVO - Saturday 7th of February

Get ready for an unforgettable Saturday as we bring the authentic spirit and fiery rhythms of Northeast Brazil to our city.
This isn’t just any workshop; it’s a full-day immersion into the heart of Brazilian dance culture, perfect for beginners and experienced dancers alike!

We are honoured to host the incredible Carlos Frevo, a dancer, choreographer, and teacher direct from Pernambuco, Brazil. Now based in Berlin, Carlos is flying in to share his passion and expert knowledge in four incredible workshops.
He will teach Samba no Pe, Samba de Gafieira, Forró and Frevo!
