Mad Cow Comedy hosts an afternoon of stand-up comedy performed by various international acts, all performing in English. Utrecht-based comedian, Rachel Morton-Young, introduces a different mix of comedians every 2 weeks, so no two shows are ever the same. The show takes place in the Eventspace at de Utrechter City Brasserie and Bar, a warm and welcoming venue with a great vibe (only a few minutes’ walk from Utrecht Central Station).

The rumours are true… Mad Cow Comedy will be weekly in Utrecht starting September.

Make sure to look out for Bianca. Bianca is the person who has brought organisation to Mad Cow and is always behind the scenes doing something. She’s there at every show with a friendly face a lil dance to make things run smoothly.

Ticket links are already up for next season and we are bringing some fantastic headliners to Kartoffel, so book now and get ready for a new season jam packed with laughs.

Those of you who've been to our shows at Kartoffel on a Sunday afternoon will have seen Rob setting out the chairs, greeting audience members and doing the music. Not only is Rob a valued member of the Mad Cow Comedy team, he is a great comedian!

Last week, Rob competed in the finals of this prestigious comedy competition and won not only the public's prize, but also the jury prize. Well deserved Rob, we are very proud of you!

Before heading off to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival, award-winning comedian Rachel Morton-Young is performing one last preview of her hit solo show Dutch Courage in here home town of Utrecht!

In this hilarious and heartfelt hour, Rachel explores the vast cultural chasm between her British roots and her adopted Dutch home. With a razor-sharp wit and a warm, engaging style, she dives into the quirks, clashes, and downright absurdities of expat life in the world’s most liberal country.

Expect laugh-out-loud stories about tea rituals, s*x education, Sinterklaas, and sauna etiquette as Rachel hilariously unpacks what happens when British politeness meets Dutch directness.
