*Terugkerende zzp opdracht in Utrecht: game leader!*

4 jaar geleden richtte ik de Utrecht Photo Challenge op: een spel in de stad voor teamuitjes en vrijgezellenfeestjes. Groepen gaan op zoek naar de verborgen locaties en scoren punten door onze foto's zo goed mogelijk na te maken, met een Polaroidcamera.

Wij onderscheiden ons van andere citygames doordat er géén app of telefoon nodig is. Sterker nog, telefoons zijn verboden! Ons spel is helemaal offline, en wij begeleiden de groepen altijd persoonlijk.

Inmiddels zijn we gegroeid tot een team van 7 game leaders. De drukke periode staat weer voor de deur, dus ik ben opzoek naar nog 2 enthousiaste freelancers die deze spellen willen begeleiden!

Wie ben jij?
-Je staat ingeschreven bij de KvK (je moet mij een factuur kunnen sturen!)
-Je woont in Utrecht en je hebt affiniteit met de stad
-Je beschikbaarheid is flexibel en je bent lekker veel beschikbaar in onze drukke maanden (mei tot half juli en september-oktober).
-Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en Engels
-Je vindt het leuk om voor groepen te staan en straalt enthousiasme uit
-Je hebt een oplossingsgerichte mentaliteit en bent zelfstandig.

Wat ga je doen?
Je ontmoet de groep op Domplein, geeft ze de speluitleg en het spelmateriaal. Vervolgens ga jij je eigen ding doen: werken in een café of een koffietje doen in de stad. Je blijft in de buurt voor het geval dat de groep iets nodig heeft, maar bent vrij om te doen wat je zelf wilt. 2 uur later ontmoet je de groep weer voor de puntentelling en prijsuitreiking.

Hoe werkt het?
Ik voeg je toe aan onze Whatsapp groep. Elke week krijg je een lijst met alle nieuwe boekingen die zijn binnengekomen. Voor iedere datum geef je aan of je beschikbaar bent. Je begeleidt de boeking en na afloop stuur je mij een factuur.

What’s in it for you?
Naast een hele leuke bijbaan met enthousiaste klanten:
-€50 per boeking die je begeleidt (exclusief eventuele btw als je btw moet rekenen).
-Flexibele werktijden; accepteer een boeking wanneer het jou uitkomt.
-Tijd om aan je eigen ding te werken terwijl je betaald wordt.

Vorige week organiseerden we onze Challenge voor de Directie van het Ministerie van Financiën!

Tijd om even niet zo serieus bezig te zijn: 2 uur lang waren de grootse uitdagingen 'wie gaat er op de grond liggen voor de foto?', 'help, hoe vinden we de weg zonder Google Maps?' en 'hoe kom ik aan een hond?!' Even wat anders dan een andere werkdag 😉

What a day! 97 players, 14 teams, 4 game leaders and way too much rain 😂 oh well, at least most teams now have a bonus Polaroid picture of them seeking shelter in a bar 😉🍻

Since we started in 2020, this is the first winter that we can stay open - no lockdowns 🙏

That also means it is the first time we're dealing with colder and shorter days. It is dark at 5 pm, and honestly, I was quite nervous about this 😰

❓ Would groups still want to play an outdoor game in the dark?
❓ Would the Polaroids turn out well in the dark?

The only way to figure this out was to try. Femke and I tested 6 different lamps (see picture #2 😄) and picked a LED panel to give the camera some extra light. We then had two groups play the challenge in the dark.

👉 The verdict? They loved it! The city center is super 'gezellig' at night with all the lights, and the Polaroids turned out well. (Pictures #3 & #4 were taken with the Polaroid camera)

I'm super happy we get to continue welcoming groups all year long, no matter the temperature, lighting, or time of the day! 🔥

AN OFFLINE EXPERIENCE WITH HUMAN CONTACT 📵 🙌


In a time where interaction increasingly takes place online, we are here to give you a complete offline experience. 


If you book a challenge with us, you’ll personally be guided by one of our game leaders: Carmen, Cigdem, Femke, Janne, Liza, Marloes, Sabine or Nathalie (yes, our team has grown since the picture was taken! 🚀)


Our game is fully analog: no apps, no ipads, no phones. Instead: human contact. Your game leader will meet you face to face and will give you a Polaroid camera and a physical map. Lose your phone and enjoy the city & each other's company!

How cool is this?! The pictures that were taken by colleagues of the during their photo challenge are now hanging on the wall of the the Hogeschool Utrecht. A lovely souvenir of the HU’s Marketing & Communication team’s outing. With 60 players, this was our biggest group so far🔥 The group was divided into 10 teams and all walked a different route. It ended with a bang: we announced the winner in the beautiful

Armed with 6 maps and 6 Polaroidcamera, last week .veenboer and I were ready to welcome our biggest group so far: 41 school students from ! Everyone was super enthusiastic about one of the spots in the challenge, which, apparently, is known as the 'TikTok Tunnel' among young people. Well, I learned something new that day, but I did start to feel old 😂


It was awesome seeing their enthusiastic reaction 🤩
