We— Hatch have begun the preparations for our graduation! Keep up with us during the upcoming months, as we share some insights into the process of our graduation works. Stay tuned for our campaign 💫

Today we will introduce you to

"Hello Stranger,

thank you for picking up my letter. I'm not sure if I really wanted it to be found, but I'm glad you did. Sometimes, I wish I was invisible.
Do you know how to disappear in a room? Do you feel large or small compared to the other people in it? Can they hear your voice when you speak or do, they have to ask you to repeat what you just said, until it loses its meaning?

Sometimes, after a long day of smiling, I feel a bit lonely. Would you like to go for a walk with me sometime? If so, please leave a note underneath the bench.”

We are thrilled to invite you to 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. ⁣
We, two fourth-year photography students, have put together an academy wide month-long (virtual) lecture series, in an attempt to enable critical practice and discourse, and the reimagining of our space with a value based order.⁣

Our ultimate goal with Expanding the Boundaries, is to create a safe space which will allow all of us to show up, make mistakes & learn from them, listen, feel represented and wake up. ⁣

It is long overdue that we call for a nuanced revolution in our academy. We hope you will join us.⁣

In love and solidarity, ⁣
Madeline Swainhart and Sophia Favela 💜⁣
An ode to the students who have experienced less than what they deserve within our academy walls. ⁣

Keep an eye on the Portal for the TEAMS link. ⁣

Extra special thank you to
Graphic Design by the wonderful ⁣

Today we are happy to release our poster which was designed by Marijn van der Leeuw and Esther Vane. Our exhibition Mother Tongue: Perspectives on Food & Society will open on 23rd of January at The Grey Space In The Middle!

We are also announcing that we have reached 100% on our fundraising campaign! We would like to thank Fonds1818 and everyone who donated to our campaign. Thank you for helping us realise our exhibition — now we are working hard to make our exhibition unforgettable! Even though we reached our goal, every further donation is appreciated. ✨
