Summertime festival @ Grote Markt. The festival offers a stage to legends such as the Dutch Swing College Band and to young careers such as that of Tess Merlot.

Musicon and Stichting Popdistrict present the seventeenth edition of the Summertime Festival on the Grote Markt in The Hague on three Sundays: 8, 15 and 22 August. Summertime Festival showcases a beautiful but underexposed aspect of the city, namely the international music community that lives here. This network of icons, music students and graduates is the source of the diversity of styles and cu

ltures within this year’s programme. The programme consists of jazz, world music and roots-pop. This year, all ensembles are from The Hague; a unique programme put together in cooperation with Podium De Nieuwe Kamer and BID. Admission is free.

The rhythmic sounds of the claves woke up The Hague as we embarked on a musical journey across South America. From country to country, we celebrated a rich variety of rhythms, traditions, and musical genres, ending in one big samba party!

Brazilian rhythms and endless summer vibes

Jabuticaba brings an uplifting mix of Brazilian traditions, original songs, and infectious grooves to Summertime Festival. Over the past two years, the band has filled stages across the Netherlands. Their performances celebrate the warmth, energy, and rich musical heritage of Brazil.

Jabuticaba’s sound blends folkloric influences with the catchy spirit of 1980s music. The colourful arrangements feature accordion, clarinet, trombone, guitar, percussion, drums, bass, and three-part vocals.
